Dr Varma is knowledgeable and competent in his field. He has explained in previous visits - in great detail - the autoimmune mechanism. On this visit, I needed to know if the recent flare up could help with diagnosis of the as yet undiagnosed ai. As I plan to travel I also need assurance that the flare up would not inhibit my travels. He covered both.

Upon arriving Karen greeted me so nicely. We had a nice chat. Then I waited like 3 minutes and CC came and got me. So sweet did my vitals and chatted with her, Then my Dr Varma came in and he made my day as always. Dr Varma is the best. I wish all my Drs were like him. He reminded me that being more active and less sedentary will only help alleviate my issues, but said it in a way that was no where near condescending nor judgmental. I chose Dr Varma because he had so many wonderful reviews, and I made the right choice. He was friendly, down to earth, funny, sensible, and very knowledgeable. He showed be some stretching exercises for my hands, and addressed my issues in everyday terms, and quickly decided the next steps to take. I've had autoimmune issues for decades, and finally feel I've found the right rheumatologist!
