Dr. Jain was wonderful. My husband and I asked many questions, all of which were answered patiently. Dr. Jain gave clear explanations and recommendations. His wisdom and kindness went a long way in reducing our stress. I would highly recommend him to any friend or family member.

Dr. Jain evaluation my Carotid Artery 'Web' blockage was a very thorough and interesting experience. He took plenty of time to show me, via CT Imagery the entire Arterial branches of the Carotid, from heart to brain, showing precisely where the problem was, and why it should remain under evaluation but no immediate action was necessary. He even pulled CTs from 10-15 years ago, during my followup from another doctor treating me for HNC cancer, and showed the defect of the Carotid existed at that time. That gave me additional assurance that no immediate action was needed.

Bio

Dr. Jain earned his medical degree from the University College of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, India; served residencies in general surgery at West Virginia University/Charleston Area Medical Center and Maulana Azad Medical College/Delhi University (New Delhi, India), and completed at fellowship in Vascular Surgery at Yale-New Haven Hospital.

He was awarded the Fellowship of American College of surgeons in 2016.

His areas of interest include abdominal aortic and iliac aneurysms, thoracic aortic aneurysms and dissection, peripheral arterial disease (PAD), limb salvage surgery (open and endovascular), carotid artery stenosis, renal and mesenteric vascular disease, acute pulmonary embolism, deep vein thrombosis, and popliteal artery aneurysm.

“The addition of Dr. Jain and the opening of the vascular lab at Backus, demonstrates Hartford HealthCare and Backus Hospital’s commitment to providing the highest quality care inside our community.
